Join Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness director Paul Danicic for a fun and informative slide show on the epic Canoe the Heart voyage.

Canoe the Heart circled the Quetico-Superior region in a 24-foot North canoe. It began at Atikokan, Ontario and finished at Old Fort William in Thunder Bay, Ontario. En route, the expedition passed through Quetico Provincial Park, Voyageurs National Park, the BWCAW and Lake Superior. The three-week journey was a celebration of the Superior National Forest and Quetico Park’s 100th Anniversary.

The Heart of the Continent Partnership is a Canadian/American coalition of land managers and local stakeholders working together on cross-border projects that promote the economic, cultural and natural health of the lakes, forests and communities on the Ontario/Minnesota border.
